State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. French Drawings end of XIX-XX centuries

90,00 € tax incl.

A collection of French drawings in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts with more than 2,000 sheets is divided into three sections: one covers the 17th and 18th centuries, the second is related to the first half and the middle of the 19th century, the third corresponds to the period from the end of the 19th century, and - in theory - to the present time, although the actual material of this section is not beyond the boundaries of the 70-ies of the 20th century. It is this third part of the collection of French drawings presented for the first time in full - about 570 sheets that constitutes the subject and content of the catalogue. Outstanding works of great artists (Chagall, Matisse, Léger, Picasso, Renoir, Steinlen, Rodin, Modigliani, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Rouault, Signac and others) are side by side with the works of "lesser masters" who do not enjoy popularity outside France.
