Volume 1: Italian Painting of the 16th century. Volume 2: Italian Painting of the 17th–18th centuries. Volume 3: Italian Painting of the 19th–20th centuries. A collection of paintings of the Italian school, one of the most significant sections of the graphics collection of the Pushkin Museum, has over 3000 sheets and is chronologically compiled into three volumes. Volume 1 covers the most important period in the development of European pattern – 16th century (267 works), Volume 2 is associated with the 17th–18th centuries (1096 works), Volume 3 includes sheets related to the art of the Modern Age (559 works). Having been evolving over many decades from many sources, a collection of Italian paintings of the museum is the second among the domestic collections in size, value and artistic quality of the works presented in it after the State Hermitage. At the end of each of the three volumes there is an annex that includes reference aid.
